Piccinotti Instruments
Gailes’ Violin Shop is proud to offer instruments by the Italian Master, Marco Piccinotti. We believe that he is among the finest Italian makers of our time. Through decades of research and testing, he has developed a unique method of crafting his instruments for absolute quality in both artistic and acoustic aspects. His instruments have been winning awards throughout Europe for almost two decades. Finally, through the shops of the American Violin Alliance, his work is available to American musicians. Please call for an appointment to play his Master-made violins, violas and cellos.
Taddioli Violins
Gailes’ Violin Shop and the American Violin Alliance are pleased to introduce another incredible Italian Master Maker, Maurizio Tadioli. One of the great Italian makers of our time, the artistry that goes into each of his instruments is of the highest quality. His style is individual and exquisitely beautiful. Special Cello Event
We are currently gathering cellos, bows, cases and accessories from shops around the country for a special cello exhibition and sale at the Cellospeak workshop later this month at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. For this event, GVS will have the best selection of cellos available in the mid-atlantic region. If you’re a cellist, you won’t want to miss this opportunity. We will have bows by C.L. Bazin, H.R. Pfretzschner (original), Vidoudez, Morgan Andersen, A. Lamy a Paris, L. Morizot, Herbert Wanka and many others. We will have instruments by Marco Piccinotti (both Master and botega models), Paul Hart, Peter Bingam, Wojhwski, Szlachtowski, Calin Wulter, Heinrich Gill, S.I.R., and many others. We will have cases by Bobelock, GEWA, Hiscox, and Nova Eclipse and others. Most of these instruments, bows, and cases will be available in our shop through August 22.
Columbia Orchestra Competition
GVS is proud to be the corporate sponsor for the Columbia Orchestra’s Young Artists Competition. On January 4th and 5th, talented young musicians competed to win the opportunity to perform a concerto with the Columbia Orchestra. We were there to support the young artists, their families and the orchestra.
Last year both the winners were playing on instruments from Gailes’ Violin Shop. This year, Evangaline Chandran won playing on a violin from GVS.
